Dropped my '03 TT600 in for a major service this morning.

I've only had it since November, but a glance at the service book indicates it hasn't had a Triumph service for the last few years so I thought I had best let them give it the 'once over'.

Was told I'd have a bike for the day and was quite excited to learn it was going to be a Bonneville (not had a shot on one before). Unfortunately the guy who had it last hadn't returned it yet so I got stuck with a CBF600.

So, anyone care to make a guess how much my wallet is going to be light this evening? Be gentle!

Just had mine done

None of the valves needed adjusting but it still came to £460
Also had a duff coil which added another £100

Very pleased with the attitude and work of the dealer but too pricey for my wallet so local mechanic/DIY for me in the future

Phew, wasn't bad at all.

New rear break pads plus the service (valves were checked and didn't need adjustment) came to around £380. Then I got it knocked down to £348 as I was a RAT member.

Need to get the fork oil done as well as a couple of new tyres in 2000 miles but all in all, not bad.

Incidentally, it was Two Wheels in Edinburgh (only 15-20 minutes from my house and work).

Neil.

Yeah, I get mine done at Two Wheels. That's the going rate for a major service.
I've had 2 and the valves have been checked but not adjusted. It gets more expensive if they need adjusted.

Been away for the weekend on the bike, will look at the receipt properly and post back.

Aye, think I was lucky!

Think I've seen you on the bypass, only other TT600 I've seen in Edinburgh (other than a smashed up red/black one when I did my DAS at Two Wheels).

Nah, I commute from Falkirk to Glasgow. There's a guy in Edinburgh with a yellow TT, parks up near Saughton

Just checked my labout rate for the 12K
5.25 hours @ £48 = £252 + VAT makes the labour a few quid shy of £300!
