Okay I have not called the dealership yet because I wanted to know what you guys thought first.

I bought a set of motorcycle stands from handy industries. Before I bought the stands as a set i was warned that the front stand did not fit well.. The reason is that one of the forks is a 1/4 inch shorter then the other. I went to 2 different shops and did not seen any front fork stands that were adjustalbe or where the right fork support was shorter then the left fork support.

Is it okay to have my bike up on the front stand over the winter if it's not resting even on the stand prongs?

Also.. do both the fork tubes do the same job?

I pickedup the set from SkyKing and the front stand fits in the holes at the bottom of the fork tubes without a problem.

I'm not sure if I get the second part right, but both forks do the same job independantly. They both are connected at the top of the sliding section and then are connected at the fender, so they should work as a system and should probably be at the same height.

I don't know that I would worry aout 1/4" difference that might not even be there. *shrug*

I, too, just bought a set of stand from Handy Industries, but choose not to go with the stand set deal. I got the universal rear and the headstock front. They aren't here yet, but I will re-post in a couple of days with the results. I didn't want the fork stands because you can't do any fork maintenance. More later...

Got my stands, They work great. Oly one minor problem. The hole for the front stand is partially blocked by the horn. I had to modify the bracket to give clearance.
Other than that, perfect fit.
And I have VERY clean wheels now too! :-)
