sorry for the weird topic, but I want to go for a clean under tail look. Kinda like the kit that matrix bikes sells. I removed my taillights, and relocated the licence plate under the under tail, by that canister thing. I like the way that it looks but right where the plate used to be you can now see that black plastic thing. Its not that bad but it hangs down a little bit like under the brake light. Is there someway we can trim that up, so that it is more flush, or not such an eyesore?
basically I want everything to look smooth, like an under tail kit?

You're looking at some fabrication to do that. The factory undertail thingy actually bolts up on the part that hangs down.

I've noticed the same, and briefly thought about making a custom undertail. Then I remembered that I'm lazy, so I decided not to do that. After that I thought about buying an Ermax undertail. Then I remembered that I'm poor, so I decided not to do that either.

Yeah you can take off everything but the last 1/2" or so. My turns are integrated into my tail light, but before I did that I just made brackets that bolted to the plate.

Took some cutting, glass fiber spray paint and time. I think it looks good

yes that is the kit I was looking at, but I dont want the liscence plate there, I want to hide in the front above the tire. Also Is there and way I could get that so it would be flush instead of the section that sticks down a little bit by the liscene plate. I want everything to be smooth.

There is always a guy selling a fender eliminator for like 15$ on Ebay. I was debating it for a while, but I bought in anyway.....worked like a charm except there will not be room for the huge stock signals to be bolted on. I dremeled the ***** out of the piece that hangs down and bought some smaller aftermarket signals.... looks so much cleaner
