I have a 2002 TT600 with just over 6k on it. Every once in a while, I have trouble getting into 3rd gear. More so often under hard acceleration. I have also noticed that during in hard acceleration, my rpms jump from 10k to 12k instantly, but not all the time. I have asked my dealer about this, they aren't much help. My guess is it's still under warranty, and they don't want to mess with it.

I have a 2005 Speed Four and 3rd gear is sometimes hard to get into as well. I think it must use the same gearbox. Dont have the RPM jump that you experience though.

Is your clutch adjusted? Also, I have learned that shifting technique can really make a difference. Clutchless shifts are often easier than clutching if you do it right. These bikes like to be flogged hard.
