Hey guys, my bike has been sitting since February so of course the battery went dead. Well I jumped it and let it run for like 20 minutes. So a couple of days later I went to start it and the battery was dead again. So I hooked it up to a battery charger and let it charge up overnight. When I put it in I get nothing. I don't hear the fuel pump or anything. I checked the fuses next to the battery and they all seem fine. Is my battery bad or could it be something worse? By the way its an 04 D600

Check the voltage on the battery. Generally you get about a 1 V drop as the fuel pump primes etc. Cranking will drop you about 1.5-2V. So if your battery is sitting at 10 V or something, that may be the problem.

I had the same exact problem with my 04 D600. The dealer told me, basically, that the bike just freaks out when it's not ridden. The old battery I had in my bike couldn't even hold a charge no matter what I did. I had it hooked up to a jump box and didn't even get lights! I recommend taking your battery to the dealer and seeing if they can figure it out or just get a new battery. After I dropped a new one in it started right up. I also invested in a battery tender, just in case.

Battery Tender's are great. Use one if I'm not riding for a few weeks.
