On the Dyno using the base map that came with the PCIII. There was a 2HP gain. The mechanic who was schooled on the Dyno Jet and power commander maded his own custom map. Which added 2 more HP. for a total of 4. This was with a stock pipe and air filter. The big changed was on and off throtle response. and got rid of that huge flat spot around 5000 to 6000 RPM. I have the map on a floppy if anyone needs it.

im talking about riding in town and traffic, no point reving the guts off in town. i had a tt600 nad a zzr 600 and they were both fine at low revs in traffic. i actually had a listen today at a standstill and if u wound on the throttle you could hear what sounded like misfiring between 3-4000rpm. at higher revs the power also comes on with a jerk so im sure it isnt right. and it very unsetlling when going round roundabouts as its almost impossible to keep it smooth.

yes there is a definate flat spot if u drive it through the 3-4000 band with it surging in at 4000.

Anyway why should i dish out hundreds of pounds on a power commander .. I think if u pay 7 grand for a bike you shouldnt have to pay extra to get it to run right!

Point well taken about sticking more money in a new bike to make it run better. Triumph or any co. should have sorted those clitches out before they put it on the market. See what the dealer has to say about the misfiring sounds. Still don't think you should run around in 4th or 5th gear in town at 30 miles an hour.. Unless your riding a Harley. Just my opinion. PS. Wish Triumph would have a E-mail to voice our problems.

Are the throttle bodies synched properly? I don't know why they would be on such a new bike, but it is worth a look. Another thing is that the dealer may not have set everything up correctly. Is the CO set right?
