Hey everyone... I just wanted to thank everyone here for their help with my new Speed Four...

I decided today was a good day to catch up on the backlog of work I have to do on my bike...

First, I put on my new Yoshimura RS-3 can, bolted right up and sounds great! I'll have some pictures tomorrow (I'm notorious for riding the bike instead of taking pictures of it, but I'll get there)

Second, I changed my oil, and I wanted to thank everyone here for their oil change advice... I learned some of the automotive oil filters and oil that we could use on our bikes, I used a Mobil One M1-110 oil filter (looked for the Purolator but couldn't find it) and Mobil One 15W-50 oil...

Third, installed my Scorpio alarm, works great the range is a little shorter than I expected though...

And lastly I cleaned and lubed my chain...

So if any S4 owners out there are wondering if they should do their own oil changes and maintenance, I can respond with a resounding.... YES!!!

That is all...

Am I the only one here who has a problem with Japanese characters on a Triumph?
I really enjoy the irony. My 2000 TT600 had the same can on it, and I thought it looked great.

So, the answer is, yeah, you are.

Ok quick update that everyone should probably know that i glossed over, when you change your oil, make sure you put a brand new sealing washer on or you might face a slow leak...dont ask how i know that... I have mine coming from Bikebandit.com

http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandit.com/partsbandit/oem_schematic_view~schem_dept_id~2291771~section_dept_id~~section_dept_name~~dept_type_id~2~model_dept_year~~model_dept_mfr~Triumph~model_dept_id~2291719~model_dept_name~SPEED+FOUR.asp

A set of 25 actually, and I'll redo the oil change, but it is a good lesson for everyone!
