My 03 has a PCIII and a Scorpion exhaust on it. It runs fantastic, but between around 9k and 11k, it definitely pings at 2/3 throttle. Full throttle seems fine. Ive looked at the maps on the laptop, added fuel, etc, and still no joy. Does anyone know of a place that has the maps? I went on the Dynojet website, and their maps are definitely fuxored....causes jumpy low RPM starts on my bike.

Could be the 91 gas around here causing the pinging, thats for sure.

Thanks guys,

Alex

I don't know about the 03 600cc, but on the 1050 and 2.3 Triumphs you need to get the O2 connector from Power Commander or you can't keep the A/F under control. I found this out when my dealer wrote a custom dyno map for my Sprint. With the O2 sensor out of the equation, the bike runs great and makes more power. Call Power Commander tech support and see if you need the part. You might need to get a dyno tune written to get the bike to run at it's best.

What year of TT600? They were different in 2000 and 2001.

Can't help with the map but I can confirm that the TT600 doesn't have a O2 sensor!

So that means there is no official Triumph map for an open can. Richen up the fuel idle trim- it should help with the jumpiness at low rpms. I am guessing they monkeyed with the ignition advance a bit for some reason. The other possibility is carbon deposits in the engine causing raised compression. Try running a whole lot of injector cleaner through your engine. I have heard of running just a bit of kerosene or diesel in the fuel to clean things out, but I am not sure I would try it on an injected bike.

If it's possible to control timing with the PCIII definitely reduce the timing advance in the problem areas.

I have a PCIII that I haven't installed because of a lack of good maps - I've heard a few times that the ones from the site are junk.

Lots of places do dyno-tuning for Power Commanders - finding someplace local and having a map made for your bike would lead to the best running, but it ain't cheap (whereas I am ).

GL with it and let us know if you find a fix.
