Hey everyone,

I need softer springs in my TT600, so I wanted to see if any of you Speed Four guys want the stiffer TT600 springs. I'm looking for a straight across trade--parts for parts, shipping for shipping. My only request is that the springs have low miles on them (under 20K) and that they are in perfect shape. My springs are out of my 2000 TT600 with 12,500 miles on them. If anyone is interested please PM me. Thank you.

Are the TT600 springs significantly stiffer? If so, I'm definitely interested. My springs would be off my '06 Speed 4 with ~8k on it, and no wheelies or other abuse...

I don't have the spring rate details, but I do know from the S4 guys on here that the springs are stiffer. I'm a really light guy (140lbs with gear) and I cannot set my static sag preload in the front because I have no more adjustment to soften it up. I would think that the TT600 springs are noticeably stiffer, as I cannot imagine Triumph using 2 different springs if the difference wasn't significant; but again, I don't have the spring rates in front of me. A dealership might know? Let me know if you are interested.

Definitely interested - I have the opposite problem. I'm 225 before gear, and often travel with luggage. Even with the preload cranked, I'm sagging through half the travel...

Anyone know the numbers on this?

Hey rustbucket, I spoke to the Triumph dealer parts salesman today and he told me that there is no way of getting the spring rates of the S4 and TT600 springs. He did say that the TT600 springs are stiffer, and that the S4 springs are "designed for an 'average' rider who weighs 175 lbs." So based off the little info he gave me it is safe to say that the TT600 springs are obviously designed for a rider who weighs more than 175. I really dislike dealerships who don't know what the heck they are talking about. How can someone not be able to obtain the specs of motorcycle parts!? Worst case scenario is that the springs are still too soft. Let me know what you think.

Easy on the parts guys there Bomb. It's quite simple really, The spring specs aren't in the service manual, and the factory won't give us spring rates, just the different part numbers.

HaHaHa! No offense meant for those who actually take pride in selling parts. My problem is that the salesman I spoke with was not helpful at all; he basically sounded like the last thing he wanted to do was help someone answer an odd question. The conversation consisted of my question and his "nope."

I'll drink to that! It looks like SprintZeroThree is going to trade me springs. Thanks rustbucket for the communication. I hope you find the right setup for your S4. I wonder if using a heavier fork oil would help? The stock stuff is 10W, but I know they have 30W fork oil. Any input on this, as I have no idea what would happen?
