i was concerned that they werent as bright when I did the install and looked at how bright the original tail light lit the garage wall (install at a friends) and how bright the LED did. it seemed to do the trick the same. i would say that during the day under daylight it doesnt look so bright but at night it its plenty bright

Light is a funny thing. For LED's you'd need a diffusor to make the color spread out more like with an incandescent (sp) bulb.

Another tip; if you have a colored lense, do not get a white LED. The colored lense will filter out all but the color of the plastic/glass. Red lense? Red LED! Ect ect ect. With a clear lense though, it doesnt matter; get whatever color you feel like.

I had a clear bulb with a red lens......sounds like I shoulda had the red LED
