I have a 00tt600 and aD600,the tt has 12m miles on it and many of those were track miles. The engine has run flawless and the only problem is I tend to rush the gear box(it does not like to be rushed). If I preload the shifter it works smoothly.
The D600 has 1500 miles and has gotten better as the miles add up.It is a far superior bike to the tt600.The engine is much smoother and the gearbox is much improved. It does go flat at 4000rpm,but I know Triumph is working on a new tune to correct the problem.
Eurobiketrash and I rode in the mountians this past weekend on the same roads I have riden the tt on ,and the D600 was much better than the tt on the same roads. The LIgther front end made corner entry and lean smoother. The engine is easier to modulate rpm in a corner ,and in low gear out of corner at 8000rpm the d600 will turn into a rocket.

I have noticed as the miles add up on the D600 it has loosened up and improved in performance. :-D

i bought my 02 tt600 in april of this year. I am the first owner, so all miles I put on. At first, I was dissappointed in power, and acceleration. At the 1000 mile mark, I put on Micron exhaust, and the power commander III. now, at 2800 rpm, the power band kicks in and the front end gets light. Then if I give it throttle at 4800 rpms, I easily raise the front end striaght up. I now have 2800 miles on the bike and love the performance. I constantly race my buddies ( R6, zx-9r, RC-51, and CBR-XX) the 6 and 9 are easy bikes for me to beat. I LOVE IT.
