I usually trailer my bike down to California to hang out in the sun for a week. This year I would liek to plan on riding down. I have relatives at every overnight stop, so I won't be packing any bedding. I was wondering what other S4 riders are doing to pack clothing and other needed items? I really don't want to ride with a backpack. My S4 doesn't have a grab rail to strap things to. Are there any cost effective(Cheap) options that any of you use? I'm thinking that I will pack a small bag's worth of gear. And, I have a small tank bag.

Take your seat cowl off, and strap a waterproof bag on the passenger part of the seat (clip the stings together under the seat, the seat'll fit with some common sense and determination). I dunno about the prices over there but here I can get a set to carry a week's clothes, a towel and sneakers for under $20

I love the Oxford stuff, and being that it's a UK company, it just seems right on the bike. Tailpack is $125, side bags are $175 or so. Tank bag is a cheap off brand around $30

SDfour, is your entire setup Cortech?? What are the model #s, I think I am riding down to the Smokeys this year and that setup looks fantastic for what I want. I am just not a fan of tank bags for some reason.
