Please help. Is it normal for the TT600 to run hotter than the Jap bikes?

On the highway I run at about 190 degrees, but as soon as I am in the city I am easily at 210 degrees. Also every time I park the fan kicks on since I am at or over 220 degrees and many times antifreeze spews out.

Is this normal? A few people told me the coolant system needs to be burped??

Please help!!!

That sounds about right. Triumphs run hot.

If the antifreeze overflows a bit when you park the bike, that is not uncommon. If it is overflowing when you are riding, that is unusual. To be sure, you burp the cooling system by squeezing the hoses to get the air out.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

Yup Will is right
just keep an eye on the coolant level in the header tank.. if it is stable after burping cool, if it continues to drop start looking for the leak

As for hot, how can it be HOT if is not a bit hot?
