I received the clutch cable from Venhill with the help of lcjohny this as been quite easy to have the cable delivered to my door in Canada within two weeks, the cable is installed and I'm just waiting the rain to stop so I can go ride.

Lisa at Venhill has been really helpfull and professional, they even gave this lcjohncy part a name and a part number.

PN: T01-3-113F
Venhill Engineering Ltd.
+44(0)1306 885111
info@venhill.co.uk

The name of the part is Triumph Clutch Cable Special for Speed Four 2004 and it comes with the instructions pasted from johnny posting

What can I say, these guys rocks. And the price is more then reasonable so I ordered two cables to have a spare one and to justify the shipping cost.

never had any clunking either - but seem my reply to the 'stretch' allegation in another thread - I think the one to your original response. For the $50us or so it cost to get it sent here, it's fairly cheap insurance.

I think that you all are chasing a clutch problem and thinking erroneously that the clutch cable could have something to do with it. If you examine the situation logically, you will note that the cable is under no undue stress or strain, therefore stretch would not be likely. The cable is not subject to any high heat, on the contrary, it stays quite cool out in the breeze as it is. If it stretched at all, you would have to adjust the cable tighter every ride, as that material has no memory. It would continue to stretch until it breaks or gets so long that proper slack adjustment would be impossible. There are some clutch issues documented by factory mechanics that are giving us all varying degrees of trouble. Fix the clutch; get the basket de- burred if necessary and get the updated bullet on the end of the clutch pushrod replaced under warranty. Happy motoring!
