Oh no, Bypassed the airbox and it is still smoking. The bike has been dyna tested and the compressions tested. All is perfect. It only does it intermittently but you can hardly see behind the bike it smokes so bad at times when it happens. Really thick blue white smoke. Then other times it is just a puff of blue. It will go up to fifty or so miles with no sign of it. Then do it 3 or 4 times over about 10 miles. Seems to be more predominantly at low speed. Does anyone have any more suggestions? Could it be a valve stem seal I wonder??

does it ever smoke at startup for maybe 5-10 secs then clears up? does it smoke when you close the throttle and let the engine brake the bike like when taking an off ramp? if so those are sure signs of a worn valve guide. if you have smoking under hard acceleration, then its rings. if its smoking intermittenly with no predictable pattern i would say you are getting oil in through the intake somehow.. i would also check the oil and the coolant to insure they are not mixing, thats bad..

Also check to see if your oil isn't overfilled. Check it with the bike level and vertical. If the oil level is set with the bike on the sidestand, it will be very overfilled.

Here's a picture of my bike. I just started it up. In the beginning of spring when it's not very warm yet.

This seems to be normal, the smoking stops as the engine warms up, but when cold it smokes
