My low beams seem to blind the car in front of me and the hi beams show me the side of the road but not the road in front of me. The only way I get the road in front of me and the side of the road lit is by holding the pass button. Also, Are there any easy upgrades for bulbs brightness with out going over the recomended wattage?
The brightness of the headlights do suck, I put in PIAA's which make it a little better but not that great. As far as where they are pointing(mine were the same as yours) they need to be adjusted. My dealer actually knew about before I ever said anything to him and he said all S4 headlights are out of whack from the factory. All you have to do is stand in front and grab hold of the lights and rotate them down. It will be a little tough but they will click to the next notch. if you are worried you will break something you can lossen the bolts to adjust/remove which are on the bottom of the bracket that is between the lights. Good Luck :-D
err............ i was reasonably satisfied with my lights!!!!
have the relays under the seat for both lights on dip, beautiful illumination on full beam- as tested during numerous silly o'clock shift starts.

the headlight adjustment is detailed "how to do it" in the owners book that comes with the bike. I find the brightness OK with the standard bulbs but they blew after about 1000 miles now have Zenon bulbs which are even better.

Buy Silverstars and then have someone sit on the bike as you adjust the headlights at night. I set mine up for long distance on high beams. If I blind an oncoming car or truck on low beams, too bad. At least they can see me.
