Had my first problem with the S4 last week and wondering if anyone else has experienced it.
I rode the bike back to my parents house in the countryside and stayed for a few days and didnt ride the bike while I was there. When I went to leave I found that the battery was completely dead.
The thing is I had left the key in the ignition, but it was switched off. I couldnt see any way this could drain the battery, but my mum says a friend of hers had a simmilar problem with his car. He kept finding it had a flat battery when he left it at his house for a few days and discovered that it was when he left the keys in the inition that it drained the battery.
agree with Will I reckon that on any vehicle 3yr is a good initial battery life. Don't get upset it is better than an Ipod & a much smaller proportion of the whole cost :yayyy: :cuss: :asb: :cuss: :asb: :yayyy:
Must be the battery, I've left the keys in mine for several days and never noticed a drop in current. Anyway, I don't think that they keys could cause a short in the ignition, but I'm no mechanic.
I had the same problem after fitting relays, in the UK we have to fit the relays under the seat to make both lights come on at once, one of the relays had a problem and kept draining the battery, removed them and problem solved. :hammer: If you've done the lights thing with relays, take them out and I think it will solve your problem.
