I'm about to bring home a Daytona 675 in a couple of days (fingers crossed) from the dealership but my utter excitment has been curbed by the fact that my TT600 was stolen this morning while parked in my apartment complex's parking lot. While insurance will mitigate the pain a little bit, I'm still incredibly worried that my 675 will be in danger. Short of keeping it locked up in a friends garage at all times (rather inconvenient) or training wolverines to guard it, does anyone have any motorcycle alarm suggestions? Perhaps something with a locator on it in case of theft. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

btw: in case anyone see's it in the Baltimore, MD area

Sorry to hear about the TT600 man. Alarm and locater are well and good, but a disc lock & a burly chain locking (preferably) the frame to an immovable object is good too.

Check out these guys for an alarm: http://www.talonalarms.com/

Sorry to hear about your bike. Another idea is something like 'snitcher' which will page your mobile if your alarm activates. I don't have it but was thinking about it.

I got a wasps nest in my garage which I thought of removing but changed my mind as every little bit helps these days. About 50 wasps greet me every time I open the door with hundreds more in reserve.

To lock it I've used a standard padlock through the holes on the front disk...along with a chain as mentioned above. Also, when I lived in an apartment, I always made sure I had a bottom floor so the bike could get rolled in at night.

One note to add about the Talon Alarm system. With the harness kit purchased for any Triumph Motorcycle, there in only one connection made to the bike, which is all plug and play due to the OEM connector used in the harness kits.
