Whoa whoa whoa...
Bikebandit.com is one of the best things that ever happened for DIY motorcyclists, but many people don't understand what they are.
They are an authorized dealer for all the brands they sell parts for. Just like your local dealer, they don't have the part you want sitting on a shelf... they have to order it from the supplier. When they get the part, they mail it to you.
So, it's actually an extra step, guaranteed to take a little longer.
Clearly, that's not what's good about Bikebandit.com.
Here's what is good about them - they don't suck royally like the parts departments of many brick & mortar dealerships do.
If you've got a good local dealer, with knowledgeable parts people, who are helpful in looking up the right parts numbers, conscientious about actually placing your order, and don't charge you a huge markup, then you don't need Bikebandit.com
However, if your dealership isn't local, isn't knowledgeable, helpful, or fair with prices, then bikebandit.com is a godsend.
If you've ever stood on your side of the counter thinking "please, for god's sake, just let me look at the parts fiche so I can show you what part I need..."
If you've ever had the wrong part ordered for you...
If you've ever had the parts guy "forget" to pace your order, or "forget" to tell your part was in...
You need Bikebandit.com
When I owned other brands of mortorcycles, I had to put up with some astoundingly stupid and lazy parts-counter-dwellers. My Triumph dealer is not like that at all. So, I buy from Bikebandit.com when I need OEM parts for my Yamahas. And I think it's cool that they now sell Triumph parts too, but I doubt I will buy those from them, because my Triumph dealer is good enough.
