I realize that there's been plenty of posts regarding tough cold starts for TT600's. I've owned my TT600 for about a month and I noticed that after I got it back from the shop (for a scheduled service that was due) there was no tip-over valve and hose to which it's normally attached was just ziptied to other hoses....not attached to the fitting on the tank. I reattached it, checked to make sure there are no kinks or twists, and I still have problems starting when the bike is cold. Opening and closing the tank does solve the problem, but I'd like to know if there's anything else I can do to remedy this problem. Any help would be much appreciated!

I don't think so. Beats me what opening and closing the tank does that the vent doesn't, but both my 2000 and 2001 TT600s needed that routine sometimes.

Well then, I guess I'll just chalk it up to saying that the TT600 is just a bike with some character then.
