I've been to about ten track days in the last year and a half. Put on over 18K miles of track, road, and commute (mostly road and track) over that time. I've been with GSXR's, R1's, Kawa's and everything inbetween and have either kept up or blown their socks off. I've always thought I'd trade up to a GSXR or a Kawi but having some second thoughts.
TT handles great on the corners and, yeah, suffers on the top end, but I always catch the twirps in the twisties.
Anyone else have this bizarre love affair going on?
Mark

Yep. The only reason I don't have a TT600 any more is because I can't ride two bikes at the same time. And my wife suggested very sweetly that I sell it after I bought a 675. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you- you are actually one of the enlightened few. :-D

My baby just grows on me day by day .
At first i saw all her faults , the low top end and the fuelling map but i,ve grown to like her and her faults and can keep up with the best of em and catch them on the twisties .
She to me is my first "real - life " bike i always used to look at the top end on a bike but most of our roads are really twisty round here and mainly you only get the top end on a track or motorway , so i now have a bike with loads of mid range which is what i need and light and nimble enough to flick around corners .
And i love having a Triumph it,s very exclusive and stands out , much better than having a faceless Jap bike like everyone else has .
I get lots more looks from men in cars , the " cor i didn't know Triumph still made bikes " .
The only down side to my baby is i can't get too many tricky bits for her !

Like you i love mine too. I agree about the cornering, and would say it's the best cornering bike i've owned in my 10 years of bikes, I definately prefer having manouvering power than straightline speed. I don't think i'll ever be able to get rid of the TT.

Deus, i know exactly as you feel. When i first test drove my TT i was hooked -- the handling was almost exactly identical to my beloved 1984 Basso (yup, you gearheads out there, i'm talkin' racing bicycles: Campagnolo stem to stern, on lovely Vittoria 23cm Corsa's). I had never been on a machine that handled a line so well. I don't think i'll ever sell it...but it may share the garage with the new Tiger that's caught my eye... :hammer:

Yap, I love my 03 TT600 as well. I have not taken it track days as of yet. I signed up for phase 1 of our local racing school and maybe I will take it.
But I never have problems keeping up in twisties.
I thought about trading it for a D675 but I will stck with it for now.

Shh... you'll drive the prices up.
Yesterday, I put new rear pads on Sponge Bob and took him out for a test ride. Ended up spending an hour out and about on some back roads through two counties. Having driven mostly big motored bikes, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of keeping the revs up past 8K to keep it fun (at that point, the carbon fiber can is also screaming loud enough to attract any cop within a two mile radius). But it's a hoot to ride. I'm looking forward to taking it to track days.
