It was brought to my attention yesterday by a kind police officer that my brake light was always on. I checked, and sure enough both the tail light and brake light bulbs were constantly lit. I'm guessing it maybe something to do with one of my brake controls, but I'm not quite sure how to go about figuring out if that's the case or not. I also thought it may be because the wiring between the brake light and tail light was mixed up, but since both bulbs are always on I don't think that's the case. Any help in this would be much appreciated.

spray you switches on the brakes with a bit of WD40, sounds like its notre seating when you let off the brakes :hammer:

To expand on what Joe said- look at the right side peg and trace the brake pedal linkage. You will find a flimsy looking contraption with a wire that hooks to a hole in the pedal and a cylinder with a tin nut holding it to the bike. That is the switch, and all you have to do is screw the nut one way or another to change the point that the brake light goes on or off.

I hope that didn't just confuse things even more. It is a very common problem.
