Has anybody tried to shorten the throw of the throttle on an S4 or TT600? To get the throttle WFO, I have to shift my hand from its normal position, which also means fine throttle response gets a bit sketchy, and it's impossible to make a quick change to being on the brakes hard....

I don't want an on/off switch, but if I could achieve full throttle opening without working at it, it would be awesome.

Suggestions?

I have a Domino enduro throttle. If I'm not mistaken, it takes 89 degrees to fully open the throttle. It's definitely okay for road use, not too quick, but quicker than original.

Where did you pick that up? And does the stock throttle cable work with it?

Thanks for the info!

Bought it at a local store, but Domino stuff are widely available, at least in Europe. The cable needed a little work, had to make the end round

The yamaha YZF 1000 use an identical throttle as my Sprint RS.I know there is some difference in the distance on them, since I tried to replace mine on my Sprint.
I never had the time to figure it out but i will compare them.
The both look identical.

I looked around at a few sites for parts available in the US... I found a couple of off-road and 'enduro' throttles, but none of the mention how long the throw is...

Also, I assume you need to get a new throttle tube as well... Is that correct?

Yeah, since the tube is what actually pulls the cable and decides the throw. Mine came complete with the body, tube and 2 grips
