Does anyone have any advice on the best way to power my Garmin 2820 while mounted to my 01' TT600? I've got all the mounts necessary (using a clutch RAM mount), but would like to hear any words of wisdom from people much smarter/more experienced than I concerning wiring a GPS unit to my bike's electrical system.

I have had one wired into mine before, make sure that you have a fuse inline with your wiring, even beter would be to have a relay on there so there is no power draw unless the bike is on

I have a fused power wire to hook up my Garmin GPS when I am taking trips. What is the pin configuration for your model GPS?

Which RAM components will you be using?

I'm using the RAM clutch mount with a 3 in swing-arm attached to the RAM mounting bracket for the StreetPilot 2820. Here's the link to the power supply kit that I have.
