Probably an easy question for most people but I dont want to screw anyhting up. I have removed the 2 screws behind the light and now it look like the only thing stopping me is the wireing. where does it unplug or does it?

If you mean the little plastic pixie hat, you have to pry out the plastic plugs that cover the screw holes from the instrument panel side, then undo the four screws. All the wiring will be exposed. You can unplug the instrument panel and remove it as a unit.

Hiya
I must be misreading your post ..so sorry if this is silly advice but..
looking at the instruments from the saddle you will see 4 raised circles on the black plate behind the instrumets, two on each side. These are plugs covering cross-head screws you need a knife point to ease them out. then unscrew the screws and the pixie hat (flyscreen-cowl) drops off :hammer:

did you catch it?

Now you have an unsightly black thingy on the front of your bike!!. but it is only bolted to the back of the instrument support bracket. undo the 3 (i think) bolts then un plug the intuments. Black thingy in bin (oops) replug intruments & reset clock !

Get 00-03 speed triple intrument cover & bolt to instruments using 2 bolts (one shortened please), et Voila!!!
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Does that make sense to you :???: :

Good luck Jon

Other Motorcycle: anything I can get.
Am I the only one who dont have the black plug things covering the cross head screws, I just have the screws deep set if this is the case, I am owed the price of four black screw covers from Triumph, there could be trouble.

Doodle You have been ripped off big time!!!!!

These black plugs.. :yayyy: man you have got to see them..

The workmanship 8-) the quality  I have been told that, as purest 'green' was tooo expensive, they were mined from solid blocks of purest 'black'.....!

f I were you I would sue Triumph. Maybe our US friends could find us a lawyer to take group action.

I mean my bike... "Triumph Speed 4" so I should expect Triumph - well what has it won? It needs to be faster to win everything. Speed [ I think that it ought to do 178.432mph] and Four [It obviously should be lighter 40kg - or 40lbs] weight

MUst be able to get damages..

Jon
