hello,
can someone tell me what the black tube under my tail light is (2000 TT600)? I want to eliminate my fender, but if i do so, this black cylinder will stick out. Is it possible to relocate this piece?

thanks.

If you use the search tool you will find most of your questions have been asked before.

I installed the fender eliminator kit from skyking and took off the cylinder while i was at it. One of the tubes needs to be plugged at the source and the other can be left open, but i cant remember which. You will hear a pretty nasty sound if you leave the wrong one open. They trace back under the tank.

Sounds like the "California emission" cannister - that should help narrow down the search

Yep, that is exactly what it is. The California Evaporative Emissions Canister. Or something like that.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.
