There was a guy over at www.tt600.org who had a Givi box mounted to his Triumph accessory luggage rack for a while and the weight of the Givi and contents eventually broke the rack. The Triumph rack has a rated max. capacity of 5kg and it sounds like you actually need to heed that limit.

Ventura makes a rack system for the TT600/S4. That may be the way to go. Will (the moderator here) has one and he seems to like it. Will?

I like it a lot. It has been everything it said it would be. One word of warning- the bodywork above your tail-light will crack and get really beat up unless you protect it. Not from the rack itself, but from putting heavy things in the bag and then having them respond (ie shake up and down) when you hit bumps.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

I got it through the Ducati dealership that my sister in law works at. If you go to a dealership that carries Ventura system stuff, the should have a printed catalog. I heard a rumor that they had quit making the rack to fit our bikes. That would be a real shame, since the whole S4 thing is finally taking off like it should.

I actually ordered a Ventura rack back in April of this year, and the US Distributor said it was backordered at the time. I eventually cancelled my order, but the lady at the US distributor said that they were definitely expecting one rack for the TT600/Speed Four in with their next shipment, which according to her should be here by now. That means there should be one set waiting in Washington right now for one lucky American TT/S4 owner. Visit:

http://www.cycleventure.com/

That is the Web site of the North American distributor for Ventura. You can order direct from them.
