hi guys my EM light has come on after minor work. i dunno what it means and i havn't touched the engine or fi system. Will it go out in time

Did you disconnect the battery? That sometimes does it. If that is the case, it will turn itself out after three heat cycles.

What exactly consitutes a heat cycle gentlemen?

Usually a heat cycle is turning on the bike and warming it up to operating temperatures, then shut the bike off via key and let the bike completely cool down.
Wash, Rinse, repeat...

If the heat cycle does not work and your a member of the AA breakdown i know they can plug their laptop into the ecu and turn the light off for you :-D

I know this because a mate is a patrol and has turned mine off a few times after i have been working on it, as mine does not go out after a heat cycle

If your not a member may be worth stopping and asking a patrol if he would do it for a drink unless your on good terms with your dealer as think they would want to charge you for turning it off.

it's gone out now. thank god for that. i think it came on when i changed the light controls and the clutch switch
