I'm specifiaclly looking for R&G or BSD ones, the skyking ones don't appear to stick out far enough to protect the radiator.

does anyone have any installed
(I've seen pics of Lcjohnny's R&G's)

I've got the R&G ones. Solid buggers that look like they'll stand up to the job if I'm unlucky enough to call on them...

According to the R&G website there's a couple of places in the US that stock them.

R&G American Distributors

Other than that you'll just have to come over to the UK on holiday.....

I'd also like to note that I ordered the skyking sliders a month ago and have yet to see them. I called after a the second week to check in and they were on back order, then the next week they were waiting for bolts. I haven't bothered to call back again, it's hard to remember that their open Friday through Monday. I'm not happy but I haven't heard any other bad things about skyking.

Interesting to hear that Skyking didn't send them on right away. I ordered them and they showed up from Skyking the next day in an overnight mail envelope! I didn't even ask or pay for fast shipping. I had the sliders before they even acknowledged the payment- they did that by email the next day. They must be having some kind of problem.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

talked to my dealer, he's gonna get skykings for me and install them as part of the dealer prep.

Questions from an old fart from the days before fairings.......

Do the frame sliders really help that much? I would think that they would act rather like a pivot pitch point that could grab and "pitch pole" the bike rather than slide. Or did I flunk Physics 101 just now? The old days we use to sit on the bikes and ride 'em out. Safer than getting road rash! 'Course back then it was a lot cheaper to rebuild your bike!

They are typically nylon or something like it. They slide very well, so they save your cases and plastic from some of the damage that might otherwise occur. Best not to find out if they work, though!
