Hi all ,

going to work this morning on my baby , spent about 20 minutes on the motorway , came up the slip road to the lights and she died on me .

She will start up again fine but as soon as i stop blipping the throttle she dies .

Got her to work let her cool down and started her up no problem . I noticed when she warmed up she was idling at around the 1 thousand mark instead of 1 and a half where she usually idles .

Do i need to adjust the idling and is it under the tank ?

Cheers

Grant

Idle adjustment is in the ECU. If you don't have TuneEdit, you can't adjust it. You may have a clogged air filter or some kind of restriction in the fuel flow. But, my best guess is that it is just time for a tuneup.

Hhhhmmmm

Checked everything and there ok , i filled up my tank before setting off so all i can think of is that i got a bit of ***** from the bottom of the fuel tank at the garage ?

The bike is running fine now , the idle is still a little low in between 1and a half and 1 thousand .

mines doing the same thing....

the battery is original, so i think it may be time for a replacement... but it starts fine if it cuts off...

my shop manual says its supposed to idle at 1100rpms...

Batteries can do that, so can a battery connection not tight enough. Also, check to make sure the tip over valve isn't cocked somehow. I finally just removed it from my yellow TT600, although is isn't a recommended modification. I had a couple getoffs on the bike, and it got knocked over while parked a few more times with no fuel leakage, but I can't guarantee the same results if you remove it from your tank vent line.
