Well i was going to try out swaping the stator and regulator rectifier today on the TT600 for one from an S4. it looks like the stator should fit no problem but it does not look like the regulator/rectifer will. The problem is that the S4 regulator has 2 connectors VS 1 for the TT600 and also the S4 has more wires 7 VS 5. What do you guys think should the stator from the S4 work correctly by itself and not burn up the regulator from the TT or not?

i have used the stator from a TT600 in my S4 and it has worked with no problems. The S4 stator puts out more current so I don't how that would affect the regulator.

yup that is what i am worried about, i dont really want to burn out my regulator with the extra power the stator would be putting out

If you can get a hold of a wiring diagram for the two it probably wouldn't be too hard to wire up - the bikes use the same ECU after all...

the books shows the same wiring diagram for the Speed Four & TT600's after VIN 161333. If you PM me an email address I can send you details

I don't think the regulator would be an issue unless you started adding accessories that drew more current than the regulator could handle. Why are you trying this? Just curious.

For what its worth, I rode my stock TT600 with 105 watts of heated gear for a number of winters without any kind of problems.

I am looking at adding more than 110W of stuff that would be running all the time that is the problem hence the reason for trying to upgrade
