...and it won't start. She's turning over and i hooked up jumper cables so i know its not the battery. People have told me check the pepcock or empty the old gas out of the carb but the 2001 TT600 is fuel injected so i don't think thats the problem... (pls forgive the ignorance). Anyway, any other suggestions for trouble shooting this? Should i empy the gas and run some fuel injector cleaner? Would really like to get out this weekend and ride!

When you turn the key (make sure kill switch is on, in neutral, and all that), do you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds to prime the injectors?

What is the latest on this? There is no petcock, of course. If you didn't stabilize the gasoline last fall, you may have some clogging in the injectors. Fuel injector cleaner is a good idea, as is pulling off the fuel tank, emptying the fuel, and putting in some fresh gas.

Thanks all. Not really sure what the fuel pump sounds like, but it does make some noises when i turn the key and it worked fine before I let it sit for about a month in the garage thru the winter so the gas is most likely the problem.

This weekend I will empty the gas, run some fuel injector cleaner, and put in some 93 (if i can afford it!). Any suggestions on brands of fuel injector cleaner?

It should whine for about five seconds. That is the fuel pump priming, unless I am completely mistaken. That is probably the biggest reason not to fire it up without letting it go through its start routine.
