So I went down the other day. Was in a blind right hander doing the speed limit, and there was someone turning left at the end. Avoided most contact, but still wentdown. Bikes a needs three fairings and a psintjob. I however just found out I have 48hrs to get my wrist worked on before I start loosing mobility in my wrist. Turns out I broke a bone, dislocated two carpals and tore a tendon. So this is obviously a left handed message.

Anyways, moral of the story is wear your gear. Luckily I was wearing leathers and a helmet. If it wasnt for my lid I'd be going in for plastic surgery instead of wrist surgery. Just be careful out there guys and girls.

Yikes, thats a bad one. Wrist injuries are no joke there is some complicated parts in those suckers. But yea I am glad that your head is intact and that you a relativly okay. My Speedy is a magnet for oil spots on off ramps lately, so I stopped taking the freeway, but now I have to deal with the same thing that brought you down.

Hope you (and the bike) heal well, glad its only cosmetic damage too by the way.

Ugh! I hate hearing about any accidents and it seems as if this is the summer that might see more than the usual around my neck of the woods. CHP has both the helicopter and plane out on the weekends trying to slow us down, but it's not that which causes the accidents.
Just had a friend who has been riding bikes for his whole life. Rounded a corner with his girlfriend on the back not even speeding and slammed into a Ford Explorer head on. That was two months ago. He just now is able to dress himself although he'll have life crippling injuries the rest of his life. Girlfriend okay.
I guess what I'm saying here is even though you may know the road and have every turn and pothole memorized, there are folks out there in two ton metal gas powered rigs who don't.
Glad to hear you're okay. I'm always thankful to hear that someone came out of a accident okay, especially knowing that they are wearing the full gear demanded by the bikes that we need to respect.
Keep your heads up folks, be alert and be safe! Don't be a squid.

Sorry to hear about your accident

Hope you have had physio on it now

I broke my wrist and dislocated my hand a few years back (along with broken femur & pelvis) had the wrist pinned, and a bloody great rod stuffed inside my femur with a few bolts holding it in unfortunately becasue of the other injuries they didn't seem to worry about physio on my wrist and just cast it up after pinning it result I have had to work really hard to get about 70% mobility back I later read that with that type of injury you need to get working on it asap

Anyway hope you are well and truly on the mend now
