I was looking underneath the airbox on the left side of my S4 and noticed a rubber tube, not connected to anything & plugged with a rubber plug. At first I thought it should be attached to something, but after looking at the service manual Purge/Idle Air Control exploded view (p 8.5) it appears that it should be that way, but could someone tell me what this tube is?
Now I'm just curious, because I can't find a description in the manual, just the picture. Thanks.

Zane

It is the airbox drain. If you ride in the rain, the water has to go somewhere, I guess. The plug is so that you don't suck up a lot of junk into your engine. Beats me how it stays a drain if it is plugged, but that is what it is, a far as I know.

because there would only ever be tiny amounts of anything there under normal circumstances. If you drop the bike and oil gets into the airbox it drains from here as well and you would not want the oil draining from there as you ride, it would spray all over your rear tyre!
