Hey guys, I bought my D650 about a month ago and since some stats are hard to find I was just curious if anyone knows what the top speed of the D650 is? I don't know that I would have an opportunity to test such a thing really but, just random curiosity.

Magazines say 158 but I haven't personally seen it. I'm still in the break in period

I know this ..er ... guy who on his own private motorway managed to get an indicated 155 (so probably nearer 145) with a backpack on, but it wouldn't go any faster, and this was perfectly flat. so maybe without the backpack you'd get a few more out of her.

You heard of one huh, AKA you tested it but don't want to admit to your squidly ways? LOL No I'm just kidding, I don't think it's that stupid to top out a bike, you just gotta know when and where. I don't think I'll have the opportunity for a while.

well, to join in on the fun, i have seen an indicated 164, but as much as i weigh and the road i was on there's no way it was right. it was still pretty awesome to see. kinda makes me want to go ahead and mount the camera just in case.

I got my TT to an indicated 150, which is more or less 140 in the real world.

You know what, I actually think the speedometer in our bikes are far more accurate than many of the Big 4. There are a few "You're going this fast" things around my town and I swear to god everytime I go through one it pegs my speed dead on. I've only had it up to 130 and it didn't feel that fast to me. It seems to take quite a while to get up to that speed though, but I'm comparing it to a 99' GSX-R750 that I had.

It doesn't seem to take an excessive amount of time. The bike will trap a little over 100 mph in 1/8 mile.

I had a "slow" 2001 TT600 to an indicated 154 on the track. It probably was going faster since I just glanced down for a split second about 100 feet before rolling off and standing on the brakes to tip into turn 1. It wasn't completely stock- open can, remap, K&N, and a 15/47 sprocket combo, but it just goes to show that these bikes are fast enough for most mortals. I figure that it was going a real 140+ at that indicated speed.
