As far as I knew the Speed four (last of the triumph 4 cyclinders) was among the 2006 models. The Triumph website has been updated and the Speed Four is absent. Is it official then?

That was a given but we are only just now into 2006 and there are plenty of speed fours available. Seems a little premature to remove the speed four from the website. Then again Triumph sales and marketing has always been their weakest link.

I also noticed the S4 departure on the site. My one dealer told me that once their last is gone they will be getting no more S4's in. They had one '06 in black, and that was it.

I don't know why this is any source of wonderment.

The end of the Speed Four was announced at the start of the 2005 model year! It's been "official" since then. There were no accessories whatsoever listed for the Four in the 2005 catalog or on the website, either.

The real surprise is that any 2006's were made at all.

There aren't many left in the warehouse, last I heard. There may be none now but the ones that are in dealer stocks. Unlike past years, where they tended to leave the Web pages unchanged well past their usefulness (the TBS was still shown for some time after it was unavailable, for instance), this time they're simply not advertising something that they won't be offering for much longer.

If you are talking about Triumph's website, you are incorrect; lots of accessories are listed.

Only if "lots" means two. The Sports Tank Bag and the Dust Cover are the only two currently listed for the US.

During the 2005 model year there weren't any shown at all. The Web site was as devoid of Speed Four items as the printed accessories catalog was.

Perhaps a dealer could order items shown in the UK accessories page, which does list quite a few items, but apparently they're not stocked on this side of the pond.

New member here. I bought that "last" Speed Four on Saturday. Yep, the black one at Cyclebarn.

they still have an electric blue '05 S4 on the floor at Cyclemart in Lacey. They are also getting in like 6 "unclaimed" 675's, every color....

yep, I almost bought that one, but I-90 gave me a better deal on a '06.
FYI, it's "neon" blue, not electric
