Hi,
Anyone got a DG8 gear indicator on the S4 ?

Acumen list a plug in version of the DG8 for the TT600,
I assume this will fit OK on the S4.
I'd rather not mess with wiring using the universal DG8 type.

Hence can anyone confirm the TT600 plug in DG8 works/fits OK on the S4 ?

I would be very surprised if it didn't work. There are a lot of subtile differences between a TT600 and an S4, but wiring, other than the headlight, isn't one that I am aware of.

neil, how much have you found the indicator for i found it for £50 and the lead for £20

i reckon the lead will fit as it seems there is only 1 lead for all triumph models tt600 d600 d650 and sprint 955 etc

Already got a good deal on a DG8 from one of the bike shows (was originally meant for my Sprint),
but I just could'nt bring myself to butcher the wiring !

As my other half is taking a while to get used to the taller S4 gearing (from a Bandit) she's asked for the DG8 on the S4 instead.

For aftermarket stuff I normally deal with Busters in Swansea,
they list both DG8's for £59, & the Plug in for £29.

However I've since found the Universal DG8 will NOT work with the plug in, hence you need a plug in type DG8 and the plug in.
As I bought the universal DG8 from Busters,
they'll happily swop it for the plug in version.

For plug in adaptors....I'm told....there's TWO Triumph models...
TR01 for the TT600,
TR02 for the 955i,

& there's no demand for the 1050....DG8 !
so they don't do one.....yet....

P.S.
I had a 675 for half a day this week & I must confess....
I really prefer the S4 over the 675.

Shock surprise is the 675 makes the S4 & even my 04 Blade feel like a tourers !

Neil. :-D

I'm not 100% certain whether the TT600 plug will work on the Speed Four as there are a few small differences to on the wiring diagram - one of which is after the wheel speed sensor connects to the main loom.

Have you tried calling Acumen?
