I am considering buying a TT600 '00 i have been told that there is a flat spot around the 4,500rpm is this going be a major problem? I am a new rider, not interested in track days, just long touring/day rides. The bike has only has 2,800kms.

Is it a problem or can it be fixed easily?

Will

Chances are that you won't notice it. You will notice the abrupt on/off throttle response if the bike isn't tuned quite right. That is an easily fixed problem. The 2001 mapping and cams are probably the most forgiving of all the variations of TT600, so you are making a very reasonable choice. 2800 kms is hardly broken in!
