Russ,

There are so many variables in determing the db level. First, different brands of silencers are going to produce different levels; so measuring one competition silencer may not tell you very much. Second, the placement (angle to and distance from) the exhaust will also be iinfluential. Third, the rev level will obviously influence things, as will taking the reading from a standing bike or a bike during a fly by.

105 db seems moderate, and I would think your Triumph can would pass without difficulty. Triumph exhausts to be more mellow than others. Your best bet may be to try a racing bbs and ask those who have to deal with this question on a regular basis.

hth

105db is LOUD!

If you are worried then best thing to do is get a DB KILLER so if they say it's too loud on the day you can quieten it down.

Something like this:
Wolf - DB KILLER
or this
Performance Racing Parts - DB KILLER

You can usually find some on ebay too - just do a search against "db killer"

I've done track days at Brands no probs with an open can. Their limit is 105db but they didn't appear to do any test and you're out there with bikes with full race exhausts!!
