The cable wears on the right side signal/radiator bracket. The plastic sheath (from Pep Boys) fix is shown.

looking at that pic you could just use a tie wrap and wrap it with the part of the indicator wire that narrows, it would give you enough clearance. My clutch cable broke when i was at some lights which was pretty scarey but it broke from the clutch handle, it prob was still under waranty but to be honest I just bought the cable and did it myself it takes no time at all, just make sure that youre adjusted it right. I'm not sure how i routed it, pretty sure it was as was but i havent had a problem since. I'll go out and see what i did . but yeah common prob but no biggie

I don't know what happens on a Speed 4 if you route it wrong, but on a TT600, it binds the throttle cable and yanks open the throttle at full lock on one side. I don't remamber which side, but it made for some interesting moments, and I headed right back to the house to reroute it!

Someone here talked about a fix that required reversing the bracket that holds the right turn signal stalk.
I swapped the turn signal brackets from left to right, and it gives much more room for the cable. I made an edge protector from wire insulation for the bottom of the bracket, and used the same to cover the "hook". Works great!

I got Venhill in uk to make me a new cable without the top bend and then routed it like this Jon's clutch cable route this has improved the hot-engine clutch action and gearchange and not worn noticeably in 4,000 ml.

If you want I will try to upload the dimensions

I infact bought one of your cables on eBay. Came with 'lcjonny' instructions quoted word for word from a post here and everything.

It's fitted, run in, performs as well as decribed.

I've been to two different dealers trying to get the cable fixed and they said Triumph wont fix it becuse its a "normal wear item" even though my bike is still under warranty. How did you all get Triumph to spring for the cost?

My dealer contacted Triumph and they said they would do it "this 1 time only" and that Triumph "told them about a fix" to solve the problem... So I wonder if it is the re-route fix or the swap signal mount fix.. lol...
