Hi all,

Just picked up my TT600, and had an S3 system fitted.

The problem is, when I park up, the cooling fan runs as expected. During this time, the alarm self arms. When the fan stops, the alarm triggers.

Anyone know if there is a setting I can have changed to prevent this? I am assuming the alarm senses a voltage change and thinks it's an attack.

Many thanks

Ian

Hi My fan runs on afterwards but it doesn't trigger the alarm when it stops.

If it is a voltage issue it could be worsened by a poor battery contact? check the terminal bolts are tight and hte battery is charged up. If they get loose the battery won't get chrged properly.

i am sure you will find loads of useful info over the 50 or so pages in the supersports forum i know i did
oh and dont worry about all the little noises your tt makes its normal
as for your alarm you probably need the sensitivity turned down, but i think the dealer needs to do it

I think there are more than six here who speak real English instead of American! Us Americans just talk a lot.

Check all of your connections. I don't know that much about alarms, but I do know that the battery connection can cause all kinds of wierd behavior if it isn't tight. If the alarm is triggered by electrical spikes, there could also be worn wire insulation somewhere leading to the fan, too.

I suspect it's actually an over sensitive nudge sensor. IIRC you can make it more/less sensitve by earthing one of the wires - Did mine 2 years ago hence the vague memory.

You can also stop it beeping when you arm/disarm the alarm by just connecting the white and black bullets conectors together.

If you are interested I will have a look at my bike to make sure.

Hi all,

I dropped Datatool an email and got this response...

Hi,

if the system is a Triumph plug in then I'm afraid that there is nothing we can do, it will be down to the way the bikes loom is wired. If the system is hard wired (soldered) to the machine then it needs to be taken back to the installer to have the alarms ignition sense moved to a different circuit.

Regards,

Time to phone the the shop I got it from....I'll let you know the outcome.
