tt600 parts to be discontinued?

I rode my TT600 down to the local Triumph dealership here in Vegas. I was talking to the manger, Craig, and he told me that FTC regulation requires manufacturers to carry parts for bikes for 10yrs. Since the tt600's last model year was 2003, so I am guessing that 2013 will be the last year for parts. What will this mean for those of us with older bikes? I know that a lot of people have bikes much older than this, so I feel like there are solutions.

Are there any parts for this bike I should be hoarding?
Other than a dead bike used for parts, what else to people do?

By the way, the Triumph dealership here "Freedom Cycle" is a really cool shop. The guy Craig that I talked to chatted me up for 45 minutes. Thumbs up to Freedom Cycle.

Never heard of that, but I think manufacturers make so much and then store the parts. I can see that these parts may run out maybe.
I would buy a write off bike for the parts, stripe it and store them.

I can get any part (that I've ordered) for my 99 Daytona, from either the dealer here or in Nova Scotia, 4 to 5 buisness days in the mail.

That helps me relax about this a bit. Thanks for the info guys. I was worried that a bike I bought as an impulse purchase would end up biting me in the butt a bit.
