Abusing my toy

Well today was the first day in a very long time that I rode my TT on a fast ride, and it was a blast!

The poor bike has been sitting in the garage needing tires for a very long time. Finally put them on, but have been using as only transportation to and from work for the last month.

I had to beat on it like a red-headed step child to keep up with the other bikes, but the harder I rode it the better it ran.

I was running with some very nice machines so it was a given I'd be working hard.

We had in the group today:
BMW S1000rr
KTM RC8
Buell 1125r
Suzuki TL1000r
GSXR 750
Honda Super Hawk
CBR600F2
and myTT

The CBR was no problem but all the others would walk away from me, until I remembered that this bike isn't even breathing till 10,000 rpm. After that I kept 'em @ 1-2 bike lengths the rest of the day.

Sounds like fun! Some droolworthy machinery you were riding with, especially the KTM and the beemer. I'd say a S1000RR is my dream bike, but I want to stay alive so I'll pass. I need to make some riding friends, all my friends with bikes are out of town (3-7 hours).

I took the opposite kind of ride last night. Decent temps (~50 degrees, sun was setting, beautiful country sunset and scenery, loping along at 50mph. Took the back way home with some tree-lined winding roads and just enjoyed the smells and views at 25-30mph. Laid back but really enjoyable, especially on a bike that's so easy to ride.

I second that one. I would love a RC8R or s1000rr but I think it may be to much bike. I enjoy the slow rides some times, that is why I have the 800

I ride with a Ducati 848, and a Ducati 1199 Panigale, a zx6r and a z1000. I lap them constantly because they are afraid of the rain and cold. I must say, the colder weather seems to really make the TT breath. It's only 21F...
