Thanks guys, if it being broken shouldnt stop the bike from firing what else should i look for? As for a case missing there never was a case on there, well not when i stripped the bike after the crash. All i've removed was the right hand fairing, and that wire was hanging loose....with the rubber sleave damaged

I'm almost positive that cable is part of the wiring harness. Short of replacing the whole harness, I suppose you could splice a new wire if you need to, but try to avoid doing that!

I couldn't tell you why the bike won't start. Silly question, is it in neutral? If it's in gear with the kickstand down, it won't start. That's happened to me loads of times haha. But a loud clicking noise sounds like a starter issue. At least on a car it would be the solenoid not engaging. Check the battery connections too and be sure the battery has the right amount of charge. If it's low, the starter will try and fail to start the bike. Good luck!

Edit: Just looked back at the picture again. That cable is fine. Unscrew it from the broken piece. The new part comes with a new screw.

Edit 2: My bad about the protective plate. Forgot you have fairing over there. The Speed Four doesn't have fairing so it has a plate instead. You're good!

Thanks, i think you were right about the starter issue as it suddenly fired up when i tried it again last night, will just have to keep an eye on it....just very smokey from the exhaust lol. Well ive got the sensor on order and the bike seemed to run ok last night. Will post another update once i have the sensor fitted

It'll be ok. These bikes are pretty resilient. The smoky exhaust was probably a little one time thing. Maybe some oil got where it wasn't supposed to in the fall. Just keep an eye on the starter for now. Hope all is well!

If these bikes drop on to the right side with the engine running oil gets into the air box and can cause the cylinders to hydro lock which is possibly why you just got a clicking when trying to start and now after it has sat for a while some of the oil has drained back past the rings. if its still smokey after a couple of runs you will need to remove and clean out the air box.

Ah, words from someone who apparently knows much more than me! Thanks for that. I hate when my advice isn't completely right.
