i replaced my stator and rectifier on 11-11-2012 and getting 13.5 at idle and 14.5 over 3000rpm

i was told if it is over your rectifier is faulty as it should not pass more than 14.5v as it will destroy your battery

have you checked your connections for corrosion and continuity
i bought my bike 2 months ago as a project and knew this was an issue luckily for me
the refurb stator and rectifer came with new connectors as the stator one was melted
i just cleaned the remaining ones and checked continuity.

Doesn't matter if its new, its clearly not working properly or it was not properly wired to the bike.

Had a charging issue and after reading the sticky by Decosse I was able to determine my r/r had failed. Luckily I had a spare lying about and put it on. Now at idle I have 13.5 v instead of 12.45 from before
