TT600 clicking noise and broken speedo drive

Hi,
I recently changed the front brake pads on my tt600 and noticed a clicking noise, however it is irregular. I have also noticed that when i move my bars to the left, i hear a click.

Then, about 2 or 3 weeks after my speedo drive has become faulty.

Has anyone else had similar experiences or know how to sort it before i blow money on a new speedo drive then ruin it and have to buy another!

Did you remove the wheel while working on it this time or recently? If you did the sensor may not be engaged correctly.

The speedo drive is a magnet inside a small hub on LHS of front wheel. It locks onto 2 tabs coming out of the wheel. More than likely the magnet got cracked last time the wheel was off and finally broke.

I'd pull the wheel and see. If it's broken there is no fixing only replacing, and the part is not cheap. Although Decosse Has come up with a custom fix that I will do if/when my sensor mess's up again.

I think the noise your hearing is coming from the rotors.
My TT makes a clicking noise when just dragging the brakes, like maneuvering in a parking lot, but stops when using the brakes a little harder. I've narrowed it down to play in the front rotors.

Thanks guys.
I havent actually taken the wheel off since i got it, i just suddenly realized that it was reading 11mph when i was pretty much at redline in first!
All i did was change the brake pads and it suddenly started making a ticking noise which it didnt (or i hadn't noticed) before and then the speedo went so i thought it may be a connection but considering that's the stock speedo drive from 12 years ago it has probably just failed after going over a big bump
