Pretty sure the 2000 GSXR had a standard fork like our bikes, not an upside-down fork.....still, that's a major modification by any stretch.

It'll be interesting to go over to Rick's house for me to test-ride it!!

You were right the first time superduke, good guess. Its a 2k gsxr 750 set-up (w/wheel).600 gsxr still used standard forks (up to 03 or so), 750s & 1k were USD since the mid 90s.

So far its been a pretty straight forward swap.Just a few minor mods, mostly to the gsxr upper/lower trees. On the daytona the igniton/lock pin needed to be shortend, because the gsxr upper tree moves the key closer to the headstock.Calipers are 6 piston, rotors are 320mm Vs 308.Forks are 50mm & about 1/2 wider than stock. The stem hole on the upper tree is 25mm Vs 22 for the daytona so i made a spacer to take up the difference.

Gsxr forks are also roughly 1/2" shorter, but the clip ons go under the tree.So i gained slighty more (3/4)than i lost since the forks dont go up as high.I had a custom steering stem made (biggest expense so far, besides forks). It presses into the gsxr lower tree, but from the bearing up it is all D600 specs, so i can still use the triumph bearings/seals/nuts/damper.Fender is from an 08 gsxr (still modding), since i didnt get one w/ the forks.Plus this one was $10 cause it was broken in half!

Few more pics. Darren ill be working on it all day Sunday if you wanna take a closer look.

I'll bet the fork is from a 2000 GSXR!!!

Thanks for the update Rick...why-oh-why do your mods always sound so simple??
I may well stop by your place tomorrow after I do a quick blast through Santiago...be nice to see this mod in person.

Haha...no, but I can always get you one if you need it.....Nick nearly always "closes" though, so it would have to be later.
