Rear wheel spins in neutral

So this might be a retarded question... and it might be totally normal. I hadnt started up a bike while on the rear stand in a while but I did tonight. My D650 in Neutral the wheel spins, not fast, and I was in neutral... thought I was crazy and shifted up and down... anyways like I said it might be normal but I cant seem to ever remember seeing that before. Then again any other time I started my bike on the rear stand it was to clean and lube my chain which I always did in first gear...

sorry in advance if this is the most retarded question in the world...

I suppose I could take the D650 off the stand and see if my GSXR does it too but it seems like too much work this late at night...

***edit*** oh yeah the only reason I think it might be normal is because it barely moves, a little pressure and it stops... not as if it were on its side stand it would roll off and fall down... the friction of just being on the ground would keep it from moving...

My 2009 Sprint does the same thing when it is cold. Once the oil warms up a little, it stops.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.
