I don't know what the exact formulation or code is, but if you can get touch-up paint for a 2000 Chevrolet in Sweeden, it is almost exactly the same color as "millenium yellow." Maybe GM used the same color on an Opal or something in Europe. Not sure this will help, but it is worth a try.

I called another dealer and he called the colour Racing Yellow. He also said that the general agent in Sweden recommend to repaint the whole bike if it get an injury, sounds totally crazy to me.

According to this dealer the yellow colour is practically impossible to mix so it will be a 100% identical.

Hmmm.. The colour should have a code!!

Still hope someone have an answer. :???:

I would try Triumph of Sweden. Triumph of America was reluctant to have the dealers give out paint codes. But I have heard of people contacting Triumph USA and getting them. Paint match will still be difficult if you are looking for 100% but would probably be fine for me. Repainting the whole bike? I don't think so. My volkswagen dealer quoted me $800. for a door chip. They wanted to repaint two doors and the front fender. We used a colorstick and a local body shop sanded and buffed it for a latte. took them about 45 seconds.

I recently got the touch up paint for my bike - 'racing yellow' from the dealer, cost me Ģ11. Can get you one if there's enough paint in the stick for you.
Don't have a clue about colour codes, where do you find them and are they on the bike?
I've also had a panel on an old bike resprayed at an auto paint garage - 'champagne' colour which you can't find easily - no probs to mix the paint.
How much damage is there?

There are some scratches on the right side, it wonīt look good if I just add repair color to the scratches, so Iīll have get the right side repainted.

Got some tips from triumphnet.com but it seems to be quite difficult to find a color that matches racing yellow a 100%.

Iīll try to get the work done next week, the paintshop have a device which scan the color, I hope this works.

Hmmm.. I shouldnīt have to be so difficult.

You would think it wouldn't be this difficult, but I would bet a lot that a color match will be more successful than getting a paint code and hoping they mx it right! I have seen more than one paint code match that didn't match at all...

Hi~

I had a similar problem and found this really cool website http://www.cyclecolor.com/id32.htm. I saw racing yellow there and most of the other factory Triumph colors. The tech support has been really helpful not just in helping me put the order together but telling me what kind of automotive paint gun to rent, etc. What I can't tell you is how good the color match is since I haven't received my order yet. Their support tells me its 100% so if you do try it I'd be interested to know how it turns out. I may post something as well once I get done with my little paint job. Good luck!

Hey Ouch! How did it turn out? I scratched my red/silver left fairing on my TT600 last weekend and this looked interesting......
