there is a black rubber hose that comes down from somewhere (it is dark) and isn't attached to anything. Gas is dripping out of it when I come to a stop. Is it an overflow line? The tank actually is near empty. Or did something come disconnected? It is about mid engine on the left hand side.

Ideas? I was going to do a serious ride tomorrow, but...

ok, under the light of day, it is leaking from the bottom of the tank at the "L" fitting that goes to a rubber hose that I assume goes up to the fuel pump (along the left side of the bike). Wasn't that a warranty issue/update? I'll have to flatbed the bike to my dealer (its under warranty and at 5400miles is close to due for 6K service anyway) but I'm kinda annoyed since they said they had done all of the updates.

45 degree elbows standard brass fittings work. it alittle tricky but they are a cheap fix.
hoses are long enough to tip tank upside down so gas doesn't fly everywhere.

Sounds like "The Recall" -- good luck. My dealer only wanted to help me out after I had a puddle of gas sitting under the bike.

Nice customer service, eh?

My dealer gave me the new metal fittings and I did the swap myself as I had no way to get the bike to the dealership (unless I wanted to pay for a tow). A little gas in my right eye and I cut my thumb but I managed to do the swap in about 20 minutes. Seems good so far. The only stipulation was my dealer wants me to drop the broken part back by at some point because Triumph wants them...

just went through this. it is the recall on you fuel line connectors. looks like an easy swap, but my dealer would not let me do it myself, so instead i had to get it down there in the back of a friends truck then they jacked my bike up some how. they didn't tell me there was a recall untill i told them i knew there was. bring it to your dealer, and they will order the parts (they only cost $4 each) and in 20 minuted it will be fixed. bad part, my dealer would not order the parts untill i brought my bike down there, so they had it for a few days, then put crappy gas in it so it wouldn't start and told me there was something wrong with the bike, untill they listened to me and put more and better gas in the tank.
